Welcome to the warmth and charm of our beautifully restored 1919 cottage, nestled in the heart of Michigan City! Perfect for families and groups, our home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. You’ll find yourself just a stone’s throw away from the area’s top attractions: The Outlet Mall is less than a mile away, while the stunning beach is only 2 miles from your doorstep.
Whether you want to explore the great outdoors, shop or simply unwind in a historic setting, this charming home has it all.

The space

**Welcome to Our Home!**

We want to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, so please take a moment to read through all the information below before submitting a booking request. It will help you get the most out of your trip and answer most of your questions! Thank you for understanding.

Our home has been fully renovated for your comfort and convenience. It offers 4 bedrooms (a large, finished basement that has been transformed into a 4th bedroom and movie room with a full bathroom). The house sleeps up to 10 people comfortably.

– **Main floor**: One King bedroom and two Queen bedrooms
– **Downstairs**: Two Trundle (twin) beds, each sleeping two people (total of 4 guests)

We’ve equipped the house with new appliances, dishes, and towels, all available for your use. The fenced-in backyard features plenty of space with a lovely gazebo, BBQ grill, and gas firepit for your enjoyment.

**House Features:**
– Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, sink, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, hand mixer, and Keurig coffee maker.
– Essentials like plates, cups, cookware, pots/pans, utensils, and paper towels will be provided.
– Keurig coffee pods and creamer are included.
– Hair dryer and shower essentials provided, along with bath towels for each guest.
– Each bedroom has a designated closet with hangers and a dresser for clothing. An iron and ironing board are located in the laundry room.
– We provide large Turkish beach towels for each guest.
– Several family-friendly board games are available for fun during your stay.
– **BBQ Grill**: There’s a large gas BBQ grill in the backyard for your use. Please ensure it’s cleaned and left in the same condition as when you arrived.
– Private driveway with space for two cars in the back of the house.

**Technology:**
– Two large 65+ inch smart TVs in the main living areas (though we highly recommend enjoying the outdoors over TV!).
– Lightning-fast Wi-Fi throughout the house.
– Washer and dryer in the laundry room for your convenience.

**Additional Information:**
We welcome guests from all backgrounds, but to maintain a pleasant experience for all, we ask that booking requests meet the following criteria:
– Only **verified** AirBnB users with positive reviews from other hosts.
– Renters must be **25 or older**.
– **Maximum of 10 guests** per reservation.
– **No events or gatherings** are allowed. (We have Ring cameras at the front and back door for security.)

We have a strong relationship with our neighbors, so we enforce these rules to ensure the home stays in great shape for future guests. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

**Damage Deposit:**
Due to previous damages to the property, we require a **fully refundable $500 damage deposit** for guests without prior positive reviews from past stays. The deposit will be returned after the cleaning team inspects the property on check-out day and confirms everything is in good condition.

**Smoking Policy:**
Smoking is **NOT allowed** inside or within 50 feet of the property. If smoking is detected (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, etc.), a **$300 cleaning fee** will apply, or the security deposit may be forfeited.

**Safety Information:**
– The home is **not baby-proofed**. There are no outlet blockers, secured furniture, or locked cabinets/drawers. We also do not provide a pack-and-play or crib, so please bring your own if needed. **Guests are responsible for the safety of their children at all times.**
– Some steps in the house are **steep** due to its historic nature (built in the early 1900s). If your group includes anyone with limited mobility, please note that accessing the front door and upstairs will be difficult.

**Check-in Information:**
– Detailed check-in instructions and a key code will be sent through AirBnB messenger prior to your arrival.
– Check-in is after **4 p.m.** and check-out is by **10 a.m.** to allow time for cleaning between guests. While we may be able to accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests, this isn’t always possible due to back-to-back bookings.
– **Cancellation Policy:** Our cancellation policy is **Firm**.

**Guest Access:**
You will have full access to the house, with self-check-in. We’re just a text or phone call away if you need any assistance during your stay.
